The joy of feature writing lies in its variety. Anything from an agony column to a profile, a product round-up to an obit, can be considered a feature and this variety demands versatility. If there’s one word that sums up what good feature writers have it’s savvy – not a term found in the news writing chapter, and that tells you a lot.
