ABSTRACT

In your work in school it should be obvious that pupils have specific individual needs in addition to needs common to all pupils of that age. These needs may relate to, for example, their ability/disability, gender, race, religion or cultural background. The diversity of individual needs is challenging because each pupil has the right to an education which enables him/her to fulfil their potential. In providing equality of opportunity for all pupils, you have to be able to plan for inclusion through differentiated teaching and learning, then regularly review and evaluate how effective you were.
