ABSTRACT
Our rapidly changing society provides the context in which all teachers work. This development is apparent in education in general and in physical education in particular, not least because over the past few years we have experienced increased politicisation of ‘physical education’ and ‘sport’ by central government and therefore by key national sporting agencies.
