ABSTRACT
Income inequality is an important aspect in the process of development and growth of a country. Inequality affects democracy, governance, poverty and economic growth. This chapter is concerned with the impact of trade policies and trade policy reform on income distribution in a group of Latin American countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Chile and Mexico. These we refer to in summary as the target Latin American countries.
