ABSTRACT
If youth workers are committed to educating young people informally any time, any place, anywhere (rather like the old Martini advertisement) then the question must be asked why do we have the need to use a traditional formal educative process-that is-a carefully thought out, planned, structured programme with clear, well-defined aims and objectives?
