ABSTRACT
This volume contains a sample of papers presented at the conference ‘Ethics and Economics of Liberty’ which took place at Université de Cergy-Pontoise on June 20-21, 1995. The purpose of the conference was to give economists and philosophers the opportunity to meet and exchange their ideas on the role of freedom as a normative criterion for appraising alternative states of affairs.
