ABSTRACT
The text quoted above was part of my presentation on war and crime in the former Yugoslavia given on 17 September 1993 at a lunch seminar in the School of Criminology, University of Montreal. It illustrates the overall criminalization of Serbian society in the middle of the war in the former Yugoslavia and suggests the potential for direct observation in such a situation.
