ABSTRACT
Since 1958, the time of the Geneva Conference on the Law of the Sea, there has been a need for a tool to perform rapidly and accurately many of the geodetic tasks associated with the modern delimitation of international maritime boundaries and offshore limits. This need has become evident by the increasing interest shown among developing nations to manage their natural resources in view of the 1982 United Nations Convention of the Law of the Sea.
