ABSTRACT

IN Genesis we may trace the Ophir tribe from its origin, which is also the origin of Middle Eastern man, and so onward until we find the tribe founding its famous seaport. This tribe had built ships and developed harbours; the call of the sea took its people to other lands, and their ventures brought them wealth. With growing power they ultimately became the leaders of other tribes. The Middle East had awakened to its glorious era, a time some three thousand years ago, when Arabia really enjoyed a Golden Age.
