ABSTRACT
Some impressions will have been gleaned of the statesmen and diplomatists in London, St. Petersburg and Calcutta who were responsible for formulating policy in Central Asia. But it is impossible to assess Anglo-Russian relations during the Great Game without discussing the activities of the men in the field on either side.
