ABSTRACT
System introduction The EBBS uses a hierarchical tree structure to store the message/reply structure (Figure 7.1). This kind of structure allows the development of a conversation where the relationship between messages and responses can be seen clearly. A subsection of the tree where a series of interchanges takes place is referred to as a thread. The various threads come together at the root of the tree that is the starting point for the whole conference.
