ABSTRACT
Social work practice today is faced with a startling array of dilemmas. Social problems are increasing at an astounding rate if judged by the frequency with which the daily newspapers report the incidence of gang crimes, poverty, homelessness, drug abuse, rapes, robberies, family violence, and a variety of other community issues.
