ABSTRACT
To describe the link between existential meaning, physical illness, and spirituality. Discussion includes the human need for meaning, the search for meaning, the affect of physical illness on the personal search for meaning, and the role of spirituality and theology as they speak to the human situations of suffering and death, and also the quest for existential meaning.
