ABSTRACT
It is told that Mendel of Kotzk (1787-1859) would shock a disciple by asking: “Where does God live?”
Certain of his learning, the disciple responded: “The whole world is filled with God’s glory.” The “Kotzker” answered his own question-perhaps with an edge in his voice: “God lives wherever one lets God in.”
