Introduction

The past few years have radically changed the way government information is created, processed, disseminated, and accessed. The ease with which information could be electronically disseminated over the Internet had a great impact on the Government Printing Office (GPO) and provided it with opportunities to increase open access to the workings of the government and enabled it to transit from a paper-based information policy to an electronic one.
