ABSTRACT
Family involvement in the policy-making process is critical to ensuring that policies are designed to effectively address family needs. This manuscript identifies critical roles for cooperative extension and other educators in involving families in shaping policies. Two educational tools, Sharing a Family’s Story and the ROWEL Poverty Simulation, that assist in bringing a family perspective to policy making are described.
