ABSTRACT

The authors present a case study in statewide cooperation in the delivery of library services to distance students throughout Indiana. This paper is the first to tie together all efforts of Indiana academic librarians, since 1994, to create an academic library services consortium focused on services to distance learners. Indiana has a history of interest in libraries serving distance students, but organizing activity in that area was not sustainable until recently when an organization was formed, under the Academic Libraries of Indiana, that shows promise of supporting distance education library services throughout the state. doi:10.1300/J111v45n01_11
