ABSTRACT
Testing is a field in the process of being recreated. For half a century, the field has focused on measuring individual differences on major, global proficiencies. The power of this approach has not only defined testing but also inhibited its expansion to the wide range of other important possibilities for which testing technology is useful and needed. In the first three chapters, and in this book as a whole, we get a glimpse of this burgeoning new field of testing.
