ABSTRACT
Any book on a new test theory must include consideration of new testing conceptions. This chapter concerns one such conception, intelligent assessment. The chapter outlines a formulation and rationale for this conception, describes progress toward realizing it, and offers some ideas on practical applications, including ones related to large-scale standardized testing programs.
