ABSTRACT

This paper examines the future prospects for Blacks and Latinos in response to professional “futurists,” who, for the most part, are dismissive of the potential of both groups to be major actors in the twenty-first century. From this vantage point, the paper is also a call to action, advocating the development of Black—Latino coalitions to oppose the ominous fate that could await both groups in the absence of a massive counter initiative.
