ABSTRACT
In the spring of 1983, IBM Corporation initiated an $8 million computer education program to develop and refine a model for the effective use of computers in secondary schools. The program established and coordinated a three-state network of 12 teacher-training institutes and 89 high schools representing a cross section of the nation's schools. Educational Testing Service (ETS) was contracted to assist in the design and administration of this landmark program.
