ABSTRACT

Students on the four year BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy Degree at the University of East London (UEL) undergo periods of clinical practice as part of their degree course. Each of the four years is divided into three terms of 12 weeks each and in years two, three and four of the course students undertake a total of 10 four-full-time weeks of clinical practice. These periods of clinical practice are interspersed with full-time college attendance. Clinical practice is supervised by a senior physiotherapy clinician on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis and the student is also visited twice by a UEL tutor during the course of the placement.
