ABSTRACT
Education has been part of the human experience for at least 300,000 years (Hopkin, 2004). Clearly, early learners did not have school boards, high-stakes standardized testing, or any of the other advances (some might say “baggage” or even “weaponry”) associated with contemporary education. However, our ancestors from around the world did at least have a simple curriculum that shaped their thinking, and work and life.
