ABSTRACT
Thompson’s paper is an admirable contribution to this book. It includes a serious discussion of some important theoretical principles along with examples of implemented curriculum materials that were designed with those principles in mind. The combination of theoretical discussion and concrete instructional proposals is less common than it might be, and is a strong positive feature.
