ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses the links between health promotion ideology and
practice and different aspects of evaluation of effectiveness and quality. It
reminds us that health promotion is based upon a specific ideology and values
which imply certain conceptual frameworks and models. It also tries to
demonstrate why and how methods and criteria for practice and evaluation
need to be coherent and complementary with health promotion concepts and
their assumptions.
