ABSTRACT

The neoclassical approach considers labor as a “negative” act, an effort as a source of disutility. We consider that this assumption is very simplistic. It is not a fair representation of reality and it does not provide a relevant framework in order to understand the notion of creativity in the act of work in economics (Cates, 1979; Rubenson and Runco, 1992 ; Pannells and Claxton, 2008; Menger, 2009; Rasulzada and Dackert, 2009), while others disciplines analyze this topic with some greed, such as psychology (Lubart, 2003), and more recently management science.
