ABSTRACT
Why do teachers need to know about global issues, events and trends? How can we help young people understand the rapidly changing world in which they live? What resources are available to assist in teaching about such matters? This chapter explores:
• the rationale for a global dimension in the curriculum • two frameworks for implementing such a dimension • how they relate to selected areas of the curriculum.
