ABSTRACT
In Israel, as in other places, there is no deep public awareness of how immigration has changed and continues to change the cultural landscape of the host nation, though international immigration has increased exponentially in the last couple of decades. In this context, the role of the dramaturg as transcultural liaison becomes essential for the global twenty-first-century theatre.
