ABSTRACT

The three previous parts have dealt with the concept of global competition; industry studies as a method for studying global competition; and the impact of changing environment and specifically the role of technology. In this fourth part, many of the ideas presented in the first three are reinforced by somewhat more applied studies. As this is not the result of conscious coordination, it might be tempting to suggest that there is quite a lot of common understanding about what global competition is about and how to study it.
