ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we expand on previous discussions of social justice leadership by advocating for the application of key concepts from Disability Studies to educational leadership. We embrace and encourage a commitment to ever-evolving, continual self-reflection, as we challenge the field to consider the implications of emerging scholarship in other fields for the study of social justice in educational leadership. In particular, we believe Disability Studies offers understandings of difference and normalcy that are often unexplored in conversations about socially just schools.
