ABSTRACT
This book aimed to analyze and understand observed environmental injustice as an emergent outcome of dynamic cities, to examine and demonstrate the use of agent-based modeling in urban policy and planning settings, and, perhaps most importantly, to offer useful insights for environmental justice research and urban sustainability policies. We came to this project with a concern about EJ, its relationship to sustainable cities, and our dissatisfaction with the state of environmental justice research in offering policy guidance.
