ABSTRACT
Perhaps the most direct way to alter the locational impacts of polluted facilities is either to remediate and redevelop an existing hazardous site, or to move polluting facilities elsewhere. For instance, if a hazardous site is located in a predominantly minority area, the site could be remediated, thereby perhaps eliminating the cause of an environmental disparity in that area. Such actions should also improve the sustainability of an area.
