ABSTRACT

Computer Science Unplugged (also known as “CS Unplugged” or just “Unplugged”) is an approach to communicating some of the great ideas of computer science without requiring students to use a computer (Bell et al., 2009). It has become very popular internationally as a tool for outreach, as students can be introduced in less than an hour to a topic such as coding, graph algorithms, artificial intelligence, algorithm complexity, or tractability. The students engage with the topic by being given a challenge or puzzle that forces them to think through the issues that computer scientists grapple with.
