ABSTRACT
In November 1982, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom invited the Manpower Services Commission (MSC) to launch a major new education initiative, the Technical and Vocational Education Initiative (TVEI). The first 14 TVEI projects in England and Wales began in September 1983 and were known as round 1, TVEI. A further 48 projects started in September 1984: round 2, TVEI. A further 12 started in September 1985: round 3, TVEI.
