ABSTRACT

Pádel is a relatively new sport sharing similar characteristics to tennis i.e. in relation to the playing surface and game characteristics. The main differences are that the court is smaller, 20 m × 10 m, walls around the perimeter are part of the game i.e. the ball can rebound off them; and a modified version of a racket, called a paddle, is used. Pádel is also only played in pairs (as for tennis doubles).
