ABSTRACT
What points for discussion arise from the proposals for new university-legislation and from the university models on which these proposals are based? The question, when analysed, seems to be: are the institutes of higher learning, the traditional type universities, fitted for the tasks of our time? One might also ask: are the universities still suited to perform their own duties?
