ABSTRACT
The copper mining industry started some thirty-eight years ago in what was then the underdeveloped Colonial Office Territory of Northern Rhodesia. Today, the industry continues to operate in what is now the rapidly developing independent Republic of Zambia, an extremely vigorous and progressive State.
