ABSTRACT
The basic postulate for vocational education research is more pragmatism. Even today the research of some vocational educationists deals almost exclusively with semi-philosophical questions such as whether vocational education should be arts-oriented or whether it should be geared to economic and technical requirements and whether these two possible orientations are genuinely antithetical or possibly identical.
