ABSTRACT
Crime prevention: Any action or technique by private individuals or public agencies aimed at the reduction of damage caused by acts defined as criminal by the state. Given that crimes are events proscribed only by legal statute, it is not surprising that there is a great plethora of activities and initiatives associated with the term ‘crime prevention’.
