ABSTRACT

The Indian subcontinent is lined by the Great Himalayas on its northern side, which is considered the home of spirituality. More and more people are flocking here to the lush green meadows, pastures and forests away from the busy life of the congested cities. The Himalayan peaks are an adobe where people come from different continents and stay because of the calmness, air, water and natural purity. Many faiths across the religious spectrum consider the Himalayan Mountains to be an epicentre of spirituality, and Hindus, Buddhists and other religions find spiritual guidance and divine inspiration there. The most visited places of pilgrimage in India are located in the Himalayas. Mata Vaishno Devi is a very important adobe in the foot hills of the Himalayas where approximately 11 million people visit every year to find solace and blessings of the goddess. This is one of the most visited sites in the Himalayas where people come to be healed of physical and mental problems. It has been a pilgrimage site since ancient times.
