ABSTRACT
When Dr Luis Carlos Silveira and Neusa Silveira were young, and in university, they dreamed of constructing a place where they could receive clients and help them to regain their well-being and happiness through some of the most modern technological resources aimed at healthcare. Although some of these resources did not yet exist, they were sure that one day it would be possible to diagnose diseases before they appeared, control stress levels, provide weight control and promote the revitalisation of the body as a whole. Neusa and Luis Carlos were what people today classify as ‘visionaries’, since they dreamed of how the human being could benefit from a longevity centre, at which it would be possible to open up the book of life, DNA, and get a precise assessment of the risk factors and a complete diagnosis.
