ABSTRACT
This book has introduced various key discursive and professional concepts to explore social work interaction. The intention of the authors has been to clarify these concepts in the context of data from daily social work practice. How prosaic these data extracts may be, the very ordinary nature of them makes these data, in our view, highly significant. The extracts presented in this book are the daily business of social work. More than that, they represent the heart of social work process. We hope we have shown that even the most ordinary extracts display the critical tension of social work.
