ABSTRACT

The most powerful countries of the world like the US, Russia and China do not seem to have a common vision of global security except that they would like to avoid war among themselves. Each of them views the global security situation in its own perspective. The US is concerned about the diffusion of global political, economic and military power, the rise of China and India, and the growth of the power of non-state actors. Russia is worried about the military supremacy of rival powers, NATO’s expansion plans and its attempts to assume a global role. China is concerned about independence movements in Xinjiang, Tibet and Taiwan, American arms sales to Taiwan and American military presence in Asia.
