ABSTRACT

A dry field of cracked mud may appear barren but hidden underground fertile seeds could be waiting to sprout with the right amount of water. If left fallow too long, however, the potential will dry up. Similarly, in Bhutan, there is a drying up of spirituality. But with just a bit of nurturing, some well-directed teachings by great masters, translations of accessible texts into local languages, a true understanding of the wisdom teachings, and a heart connection to the Buddhist view could easily blossom in the next generation.
