Adaptation to climate change-exacerbated water scarcity, droughts and flashfloods

This book asks the overarching research question ‘What are the key barriers and bridges for developing capacity and adapting to climate change impacts through water resources management that ensures a healthy environment, social equity and viable livelihoods?’ To contribute to addressing this question, we situate our case study within the theoretical framework provided by co-editors, a hypothesis for how mitigation, adaptation and capacity building interact (see Ch. 1, Figure 1.1).
