ABSTRACT

The two authors of this chapter are sport psychology officers at the Hong Kong Sports Institute. Although they are working with athletes from the same cultural setting (i.e., Hong Kong), they come from different educational backgrounds. The first author (Hong Kong Chinese) is an Australian registered psychologist who received his doctorate in Australia, whereas the coauthor (Mainland Chinese) is a China-registered sport psychology consultant who completed his education in China. In this chapter, both authors will discuss their educational paths and share their thoughts on supervision experiences. Please note that HL refers to Hin Yue Li and XJ refers to Xiaobo Jiang.
