ABSTRACT
The world is currently facing immense environmental challenges: global warming, climate change, sea level rise, lack of fresh water, over population, resource depletion, air and water pollution, loss of habitat, widespread species extinction – the list of problems and their mind-boggling complexity and scale goes on and on. These environmental problems loom large for the built environment professions as more and more voices around the world are calling for addressing them and moving toward greater sustainability.
