Urban transdisciplinarity in a national program for applied megacity research

In 2004, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) called for proposals on the funding priority, “Research for the sustainable development of the megacities of tomorrow” (in short: Future Megacities program, www.future-megacities.org). The main phase (2008–2013) focuses on “Energy- and climate-efficient structures in urban growth centers.”
