ABSTRACT
Throughout his academic career, from the Lowell Lectures he gave at the age of twenty-nine and until the unfinished book manuscript that he left at his death, Kuhn struggled to develop a consistent account of scientific concepts and conceptual change. As his ideas developed he drew inspiration from many different sources, although often in a loose fashion that occasionally frustrated his critics.
