ABSTRACT

In order to explain processes of organizational transnationalization, this chapter highlights the role of expectations that are directed at organizations both from their external institutional environments and from their members. 1 Related assumptions concerning opportunities and challenges of organizational orientation towards two or multiple countries are empirically evaluated using the Turkish-Islamic Union of the Directorate of Religious Affairs e.V. (Diyanet İşleri Türk İslam Birliği, henceforth DITIB) as a case study.
